Re: Purchasing a bulldog
Anything in our back garden is fair game to our dog.... he's almost run through the closed patio doors to get at a cat that was sitting watching the wild birds eat a few suet balls... and don't get him started on the Fox that gets up on our flat roof and looks in through the sky light... he's also head butted the bird feeder full pelt when a couple of ring tailed doves were having their wicked way on it.... he's gonna have a heart attack one of these days...

Nurse Ratched 11:09 Sun Feb 12

I would have agreed with you till we got a Black and Tan Parsons about four years ago.

It is great. Sneakiest little bastard in the world. Not unusual to walk into a room and find it standing on its back legs trying to see what food is on the table.

We didn't even know rats existed until we started finding dead ones in our back yard with their necks broken. It's up to about 15 now.

But what I love most about it is that it hunts cats. Stalks them. It's a joy to watch. And if it got one it would kill it. The cats know this and have stopped shitting in our backyard. Praise be to Jack Russell's. I think if you let them kill things and hunt for stuff they are more chilled out. Though it does attack rain which is a bit stupid.

He's good as gold. He mostly sleeps but we leave him his toys in a fairly large kitchen and had no problems at all. He's just well chilled out.

GET YOURSELF A PITBULL SON

Bom Stickle 2:34 Mon Feb 13
Re: Purchasing a bulldog
I bought my son an English bulldog for Christmas. Best dog ever for what I needed. Doesn't really want any sort of exercise, never shits in the house and basically just wants affection. He is now 16 weeks and I really couldn't be happier with Winston (named after Reid) as he's an absolute cracker.

His sister is still for sale but is up for a pricey £2,500.00. As they have blue lines they are a lot more expensive.

If you want to go walking with it or a good guard dog this is not the dog for you.

Had a cockerpoo until I left the wife.

I'm absolutely gutted.

He was the best dog.

Bulldogs have all sorts of health problems.
